The Telescope Live Referral Program has been designed to give value to both our active clients and their friends.

For clarity, let’s outline the meaning of some important terms used on this page:

• “Referral Program”: A referral program is a process in which the clients of a company gain rewards for spreading the word about that same company’s products or services – see it as “engineered word of mouth”.
• “Referrer”: The Referrer is an active user of Telescope Live (i.e. you) who has enjoyed our features and services – and, for this reason, gained the possibility to acquire credits for each of their friends that become active users.
• “Referral”: The Referral is the Referrer's friend (i.e. your friends) who joined Telescope Live thanks to you and has become an active user.

How to refer Telescope Live to your friends

Every Silver and Gold user can be part of our Referral Program and become a Referrer.

As a Referrer, you can invite your friends to Telescope Live and gain credits every month as a reward for each friend that becomes an active, paying client.

All you have to do is to send your personal promo code to your fellow astro-addicts who you think might enjoy Telescope Live. To do so:

1. Go to the Account Settings page
2. Scroll down to the Referral Program section
3. Copy your unique referral promo code and send it to your friend, or click SEND REFERRAL PROMO CODE TO A FRIEND. This will send an email directly to your friend with all the instructions on how to join.

To gain rewards for both you and your friend, they have to use the promo code before the end of their free trial. Note that your friend will not be able to use the promo code after the free trial has ended.To use your promo code, your friend has to register to Telescope Live and then navigate to the appropriate area in Account Settings:

What’s in it for the Referral – 20% discount for 1 year

Each of your referred friends will have the opportunity to subscribe to either a Silver or Gold plan with a 20% discount on their monthly subscription. This discount will last for 1 year.

Once your friend (the Referral) creates an account, they must insert the Referrer’s promo code in the dedicated area in Account Settings before the end of their free trial.

In other words, your friend will get a 1-week free trial, and then, if they decide to become a paying subscriber, they will start paying with 20% off for one year. 

Your friend can decide to move between the Silver and Gold plans, and they will be able to get the same 20% discount. They can also cancel their subscription at any time and the discount will still be valid if they wished to resubscribe, within the 1-year validity of the offer.

This means that, if your friend (the Referral) becomes a paying subscriber for 12 months, they will save up to:

• $45 for the Silver plan
• $117 for the Gold plan

What’s in it for the Referrer – 5 or 10 credits per month, for each referral

For each of your friends that becomes a paying subscriber, you will get a fixed amount of credits each month that can be used to submit Advanced Requests.

You will get 5 credits per month for each friend who is a Silver member, and 10 credits per month for those becoming Gold members. Those credits will be sent each month for 6 months, from the moment your friend redeems the promo code.

Note that to gain credits, your friend needs to be a paying subscriber. If your friend is on the free trial, or if they unsubscribe, you will not get the credits.

There is no limit on the number of Referrals that a single Referrer can invite.
